An 8.8 acre Athy site is on sale with a guide price in excess of €1.1 million.

The site is on sale through Savills Ireland.

The site is located within the existing Coneyboro housing estate on the Carlow Road R417, approximately 1.2 km south of Athy Town Centre. The immediate area surrounding the property is existing residential housing, open green areas and some agricultural land.

The lands are zoned ‘Existing Residential & Infill’ under the Athy Town Development Plan 2012-2018. The site was originally planned to form part of the Coneyboro development and is located within the existing residential estate. This property previously had planning permission for 121 houses comprising thre-bed semi-detached and two- and three- bed townhouses. This planning permission has now expired.

The site’s main access point remains via the Coneyboro estate. It fronts onto the Coneyboro meadows and benefits from an even topography, well suited to the residential development opportunity. There are four unfinished houses within the boundary as well as approximately eight foundations laid for further units.

The agents are seeking in excess of €1.1 million for the sale.
