Friends of the Kildare artist Gill Berry are opening an exhibition of her work in Kildare town library from 6.30 to 9pm as part of Culture Night on September 21.
“We will launch a book, Gill Berry, Visual Artist, celebrating her legacy as an artist, as part of the Reader’s Festival on Monday October 1 from 7-9 pm,” said Kevin O’Kelly.
Gill, a native of Kildare, produced a vast body of work during her lifetime.
Her paintings represent a magical realism forged from meticulous research of the human condition and the diversity of cultures both past and present.
She presents us with a mysterious and secret world and invites us to share her sense of wonder.
