A new school for Naas moved a step closer with news that tenders are being sought for its construction.
Naas Community College will be built at a site at Millennium park and the Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board has published tenders, seeking seeking expressions of interest from building, mechanical and electrical specialist contractors for the construction of the new school building.
Local TD and chair of Naas Community College James Lawless has confirmed the news saying it is “very welcome news to the entire school community.
The news was welcomed by Deputy James Lawless
“The tenders have been published and are expected to be closed at the end of May. From there we expect building to commence shortly afterwards.” And he noted that there is considerable demand for places in the school and that this is a key part of the educational infrastructure for Naas and the surrounding areas complementing the existing schools.
