Kildare Relay for Life sends out urgent call for more teams to sign up

Relay for Life Kildare is holding an important team recruitment meeting on Monday 9 April in Newbridge Town FC on Station Road, Newbridge at 8pm.

"It is worth remembering that Relay is open to all of County Kildare and indeed many parts of the county have no representation over the last five years," said the organisers.

"We are appealing to all clubs, groups and families to get behind Relay and form a team to take part in this very important fundraiser for the Irish Cancer Society. Support from the Society comes back to Kildare patients for the night nursing service, morphine injections and care to drive to mention some some benefits. Funding also goes to the many research scientists who work every day in an effort to find better ways of treating Cancer."

Relay 2018 takes place again at Punchestown Racecourse September 15 and 16 and this year a decision has been made to change the timing and therefore Relay will commence at 1pm on the Saturday and finish at 1pm on the Sunday.

Any Club or individual looking for further information please contact Peter O Neill at 087 2422380  or Ozzy O Toole at 087 0910768.
