Heavy winds and rain expected across much of the country
Met Eireann have issued a Status Yellow Advisory for 11 counties including Kildare, with very wet and windy weather expected and a risk of localised flooding.
30 to 50mm of rain is expected, and the warning is in place for Kildare, Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford. It is valid from midnight tonight for 24 hours.

According to Met Eireann, tonight will be cloudy and wet, with rain becoming widespread. The rain will turn heavy in places, especially in Munster, with a risk of localized flooding. Hill and coastal fog also. Minimum temperatures 4 to 8 Celsius, in fresh and gusty south to southeast winds.
Wednesday, will be wet and very windy, with widespread rain. The rain will be heavy at times, especially in the southern half of the country, with a continuing risk of localized flooding. Mild, in strong and gusty southeasterly winds. Maximum temperatures 9 to 12 Celsius.
