Kildare Judge told 'You're doing great' by defendant

Woman also wished him a Happy Christmas

Kildare Judge told 'You're doing great' by defendant

Judge Desmond Zaidan

A woman began her appearance before a judge in Naas District Court last Thursday, December 13, by telling him he was “doing great”.

Judge Desmond Zaidan asked Sandra Walsh, 53, with an address listed as 19 Moanbane Park, Kilcullen, if she had been sitting there all day (it was reasonably late into the court sitting).

She said she had, and that he was doing great.

Ms Walsh was charged with driving her car on the Old Dublin Road, Kildare, on December 9, 2016, without any tax. Her compliments prompted light hearted admiration from local solicitors.

The defendant told Judge Zaidan that the car had been sold and that she didn’t receive the fixed penalty notice in the post. Inspector Mel Smyth informed the court that there was nothing unusual about the case.

Judge Zaidan gave her the benefit of the Probation Act and she wished him a Happy Christmas.
