Body of man found in burned-out car on the Curragh, Kildare

Fire services and gardai called to the scene

The body of a man was found in a burned-out car on the Curragh this morning, Tuesday, November 14.

Gardai and fire services responded to a call at 9.45am this morning to a piece land on the Kildare town side of Moore's Bridge at the back of the Curragh Racecourse.

The man's body was found in the front of the burned-out vehicle. According to a spokesperson, Gardai are not treating the incident as suspicious.

The deceased was taken to the mortuary at Naas General Hospital. The scene was sealed off while gardai investigated, and members of the force were present there during the morning and afternoon.
