Santa arriving at the Whitewater

Santa is on his way to Newbridge

Santa is due to arrive at the Whitewater Shopping Centre in Newbridge this Saturday, November 19. The man in red will make his way from the Garda Station up Main Street in his vintage convertible cadillac.

The procession is due to land at 2pm, with the festivities starting beforehand at 12pm.

Renowned local Patrician Primary School Pipe Band will play festive favourites as they march through Newbridge town with local gardaí closing off the street to escort the guest of honour.

On arrival at the centre Santa will continue his journey on his silver sleigh to his enchanted grotto. Kids can enjoy a Christmas disco with entertainers and winter wonderland characters dancing throughout the centre to Christmas hits from 12-4pm.

Santa and his friendly helpers will be welcoming visitors until Christmas Eve.

Meeting Santa is free for all, however donations are invited for Down Syndrome Kildare.

Whitewater Centre Manager Ingrid Ryan said:“Whitewater is a magical place at Christmas and Santa’s arrival party is a highlight of the season, for our younger visitors and the big child in every adult.”
