Fundraising cycle for Maynooth's Mark Nugent

Mark Nugent was in a serious accident last April

A cycle is being organised on Saturday, August 13 in aid of Maynooth man Mark Nugent.

The well known footballer, hurler and cyclist was in a serious accident on April 19 and now needs to carry out extensive renovation of his home to adapt to wheelchair use.

Friends of Mr Nugent have created a 'gofundme' account which has, to date, raised in excess of €25,000.

The cycle will take place on August 13, starting at the Boy's National School in Maynooth at 9am — and proceeding as far as the Hill of Tara and back.

The distance is 60kms or a more family-friendly 20kms.
