Plans are underway for this year's Monasterevin St Patrick's Day parade.

Taking place on March 17, this year's theme is: Recycling & Sustainability– celebrating Irish heritage while caring for our planet.

"We are inviting local schools, clubs, community groups, and businesses to take part by entering a float. This year’s parade is all about creativity, community pride, and environmental responsibility," said the organisers.

The closing date for float registration is March 5.
