Woman claims at Kildare court her son had to leave house late at night because of his dad

A woman told Naas District Court that her husband’s drinking had caused her son to leave the family home twice.

The woman sought protection under family law legislation and claimed the son had to leave twice late at night and with no belongings.

The woman further alleged that she is “very afraid in my own house” because her husband had been drinking for the past 12 weeks.

She also claimed he is aggressive and intimidating.

The man was not present or represented for the brief hearing.

Judge Desmond Zaidan granted a protection order and adjourned the matter to April 13 for a fuller hearing.
