A hair donation fundraiser aims to raise money for the Emergency Response Unit in Kildare.

The organiser, Nora Feane Doran, explained the reason behind the fundraiser on GoFundMe.

She said: "My son is going to cut his beautiful long locks and donate his hair to the Rapunzel Foundation to help make wigs for children with cancer.

"We would like to try raise funds and donate the funds to the Kildare Emergency Response Unit, who were very helpful to our family."

Nora added: "If you are in a position to donate, please do."

The fundraiser has a €500 goal.

Those interested in donating to Nora and her son's cause can do so via GoFundMe.
