Appeal launched following theft of motorcycle from Kildare housing estate. FILE PHOTOGRAPH / PIXABAY
An appeal has been launched by An Garda Síochána (AGS) following the theft of a motorcycle from a housing estate in North Kildare.
The incident was highlighted by Garda Orlaith Fahy when she appeared on KFM earlier today (July 30).
She told host Eoin Beatty that a black Yamaha motorcycle was stolen from a housing estate in Clane sometime between 9pm and 11pm on Saturday, July 26 last.
According to Gda Fahy, the motorcycle has the following registration plate: 08-KE-17376.
She concluded by saying that anyone with information can contact Leixlip Garda Station on 01 666 7800.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about this incident, a spokesperson for AGS said: "Gardaí are investigating an alleged incident of an unauthorised taking of a motorcycle outside a residential property in Clane, County Kildare, on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at between the hours [of] 9pm and 11pm."
The spokesperson added that the investigation is ongoing.
