An information appeal has been launched by gardaí after a County Kildare resident had some of their belongings stolen from their car.
The incident was highlighted by Garda Aidan McGuane when he appeared on a KFM radio programme yesterday morning (June 25 last).
Gda McGuane explained that the incident occurred in The Close region of Hazelhatch, Celbridge on Thursday, June 19 last.
He said that the perpetrator(s) stole a number of items from the vehicle, including "a handbag, a bank card and some documents".
Gda McGuane added that while gardaí are currently examining CCTV in relation to this crime, he urged anyone with information about the incident to contact Leixlip Garda Station on 01 666 7800.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about this crime, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí received report of an incident of theft from a car that occurred in Celbridge, County Kildare at approximately 11.45pm on June 19, 2025.
"A number of belongings were taken in the course of this incident."
The spokesperson added: "Investigations are ongoing."
