Key Leaders gathered in Newbridge in Kildare to launch a new ‘Communities That Care’ Model to Ireland, which has already been rolled out across United States, Germany, and across Europe so far.
The launch was organised by SURF, the substance use regional forum, who said "by working together, we can create safer, healthier communities and give young people the opportunities they deserve."
Mayor Cllr. Peggy O’Dwyer (FG) and Vice Mayor Cllr. Chris Pender (SD) along with representatives from HSE, TUSLA, An Garda Síochána, and Kildare County Council, Emma Berney (Children & Young People’s Services Coordinator) and Evonne Boland (Newbridge Community Development) were all present at the launch.

"Following the successful Key Leader session in Newbridge, the initiative will continue to expand, engaging more local leaders and service providers in a collective effort to create positive, long-term change for young people," SURF said.
