No date for second bridge over the River Liffey in north Kildare

Resources needed are engaged elsewhere

Tender documents soon for consultant to second bridge in Celbridge Kildare

Kildare County Council has no date for the provision of a second bridge over the River Liffey in Celbridge.

Local politician Claire O’Rourke asked Kildare County Council when it would seek consent for the compulsory purchase of land.

However, KCC said not date is available because it is progressing two large projects at present -  the Maynooth eastern ring road  and the Celbridge Hazelhatch mobility corridor and “the limited resources in the team have been allocated to progress both projects in turn.”

KCC says it hopes to complete a review of the documents submitted by the consultants as quickly as possible and a safe can be provided after that.
