Winston
Cat of the month: Winston Our cat for the month of January is Winston. Winston is a lovely, cuddly boy, who is waiting for his forever home for a while now.
He was brought to our attention by a lady who had been feeding him after he wandered into her garden. She was unable to take him into her home, and felt he deserved a better life than living in her shed.

Winston came into the care of the KWWSPCA and no owner has come forward to claim him, so he is available for rehoming.
During his vet exam it was noticed that Winston has a condition called “pillow paw”, which affects the pads on his feet, and they can become irritated and sore.
This can be due to a number of reasons, one being allergies, so for this reason Winston needs an indoor home.
At present, Winstons paws are fine and given he has been indoors since he came to the shelter, this should not prove to be an issue once he remains as an indoor cat.
Winston is a gorgeous character, approximately four years of age and due to his personality and placid nature, he is also a candidate for our Senior Saviors Programme. As part of this programme, an older cat is matched to an older adult.
The adopter takes care of the day to day costs, like food, litter and flea/worm doses when needed. The KWWSPCA looks after the bigger stuff like veterinary fees, and will also re-home the cat if for any reason the adopter becomes ill, or is unable to continue to take care of their cat.
