Tributes paid to Kildare man - “One of life's true gentlemen”

Frank Conlan RIP

Tributes have flooded in following the passing of Frank Conlan, Old Greenfield, Maynooth, Kildare, who passed away on January 22 2025.

Peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Frank is pre-deceased by his loving wife Bridget and siblings Timothy, Christopher and Sheila.

Frank is lovingly remembered by his cherished children Francis, Allison, Patrick and Julie-ann, "adopted" son Dave, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brothers Michael and Joseph, sister Maisie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many good friends.

On the condolences section of RIP.ie, one person wrote: “Our deepest sympathy to all of the Conlan family at this very sad time. Frank was a long time friend of mine and a great member of the Labour Party. He will be missed very much. May he Rest in Peace.”

Another mourner wrote: “Deepest sympathy to all the Conlon family at this sad time. Frank was a true gentleman. May he now Rest in Eternal Peace.”

And another wrote: “Rest in peace my amazing Grandad we will never ever forget you, you truly were one of a kind until we meet again your back with nanny now at peace, I’ll love and miss you forever my angel.”

Another tribute read: “My sincere condolences to Allison, Julie-ann, Frank and Patrick on the sad passing of your dad Frank, also the extended Conlon family.
“One of life’s true gentlemen and a good neighbour for many years, may his gentle soul rest in peace.”

Reposing at Oliver Reilly's Funeral Home, Leinster St., Maynooth, (W23 V99E) Thursday Januaryk 23 from 5pm - 8pm with evening prayers at 7pm.

Removal from the Funeral Home on Saturday at approx. 9:30am to arrive at St. Mary's Church, Maynooth for 10am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Laraghbryan Cemetery, Maynooth.
