‘Forever young’ - Heartbreaking tributes paid after death of young Kildare woman

Katie Bolger of Maryville, Kildare Town, Co. Kildare passed away suddenly January 17, 2025

Tributes have been pouring in following the untimely passing of Katie Bolger of Maryville, Kildare Town, Co. Kildare on Friday, January 17, 2025.

Messages of condolences have been left on Katie's rip.ie page from heartbroken friends, family and her former school.

Katie's friend wrote: "Katie was my partner in crime, always a true friend and a true sister to me. I will forever miss her laugh and her light. Taken way before her time."

Another friend said: "Katie has always been such a kind, intelligent and loving person, it was a pleasure to grow up with her as kids in Ruanbeg."

Another wrote: "Words cannot describe the utter devastation of your passing. You were the most kind, caring, loving girl. You made me the person I am today and I will be eternally grateful for every memory I have of you. I am indebted to you forever."

Katie's former teachers said: "We are deeply saddened in KTCS to hear of Katie's passing. Katie was a wonderful student who led the way in student leadership roles in KTCS especially the Student Council. It was a privilege for all of us to have taught and known Katie throughout the years."

Katie is predeceased by her nanny Peg, grandad Paddy, aunties Sylvia and Linda, and uncle Paddy. She will be sadly missed and forever loved by her loving parents Elaine and Phil, brother Andrew, Phil's wife Lorraine, grandparents Sadie and Jim, aunties, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

Katie's funeral arrangements will be made at a later stage.
