Catherine Madden from Castledermot has been appointed managing director of the Dublin Gazette.
Catherine brings nearly 30 years of experience in the media industry, having held senior roles in Buy & Sell, Independent News & Media, and Hot Press.
Catherine replaces the founder and CEO of The Dublin Gazette, Michael McGovern who has officially retired.
Founded in 2003, Dublin Gazette is a local newspaper serving communities across Greater Dublin.
Catherine joined Dublin Gazette in April 2024.
"It’s an honour to take on this role and continue Michael's legacy," Catherine said. "The Dublin Gazette is more than a newspaper; it’s a cornerstone of the community. I’m excited to explore new opportunities in the digital space while staying true to the values that have made this publication special."
Michael expressed his confidence in Catherine’s leadership, stating:
