Local snowmen won't be going anywhere as low temperatures for Kildare to continue until Thursday

A Status Yellow - Low Temperature/Ice warning will apply to Kildare until 12 noon on Thursday. 

Met Éireann has forecast very cold nights with widespread frost and ice.

Forecasters added: "Temperatures will struggle to get above freezing during the day."

Met Éireann warned of potential Impacts such as: 

• Hazardous travelling conditions
• Icy patches
• Travel disruption.


Kildare is also included in a Status Yellow Warning for Snow and Ice. 

Forecasters said further falls of sleet and snow with snowfall accumulations are expected.

The Warning is valid until midnight on Sunday night.
