As we start a New Year in 2025, we would like to thank everyone who supported us in 2024.
We are so grateful to the businesses and corporations who gave generous donations, the financial support of the Minister and the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine (DAFM) for the Animal Welfare Grant Funding to the KWWSPCA of €62,025.00, the groups and individuals who brought food and supplies to the shelter.
To the local business’s who supported us and gave us a venue to host fundraising events, and the schools and business’s who hosted us for talks about animal welfare, we would like to sincerely thank you. Without your support, our work would not be possible.

Busy year
We had 310 dogs come into our care in 2024, of which 285 have been rehomed. We rehomed 366 cats and kittens and the TNR group dealt with 440 cats. All this work was carried out by volunteers as the KWWSPCA has no paid employees.
All funds that are raised either through donations or fund raising goes directly towards the care of the animals.

Back open
We look forward to carrying on with the good work in 2025. Our kitty cottage is back open for adoptions on January 11.
We have quite a few older cats and kittens that are waiting for they forever home and we ask that you consider opening your heart and home to an older cat. Our dogs are available for adoption by appointment.
Noah’s Ark, our charity shop on the Cutlery Road in Newbridge is open for business from Monday through to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm. We would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year for 2025, to new beginnings and endless possibilities.
