Work starts on 22 new homes at Cooleragh, Coill Dubh, Co. Kildare.

Works are underway on the construction of 22 homes and associated site-works at Cooleragh, Coill Dubh, Co. Kildare.

A decision to grant planning permission was issued by Kildare County Council on August 21 2024 to TMC Siteworks Limited for 1) demolition of existing outbuildings; 2) demolition of existing lean-to extensions, internal alterations and extension to existing two-storey residential house; 3) construction of 22 homes.
The homes will consist of four two-storey, four-bed detached houses; four two-storey, four-bed semi-detached houses; 10 three-bed, two-storey semi-detached houses; and one two-storey apartment block containing two two-bed units and two one-bed units and adjoining bike and bin store.

According to Construction Information Services, there are also plans for two new recessed access roads off the L1019; access for house number 19 from Siog Na Mona housing development; pedestrian connection to Cois Na Mona housing development; decommissioning of an existing septic tank; and all associated ancillary site-works.

The architects for the development are Brian Connolly and Associates.
