Rotary Club of Naas present cheque to McAuley Place

McAuley Place were delighted to receive a cheque for €15,000 presented by the President of the Rotary Club of Naas, John O Dea with Rotary members Liam Murphy and Michele Furey.

The funds were raised at the Captains Day Charity Golf Classic organised by The Rotary club of Naas and kindly hosted by Craddockstown Golf Course, in September.

“It is thanks to the overwhelming support of the Rotary club of Naas and all who participated on the day, for raising a fantastic sum for McAuley Place. Thanks also to Craddockstown Golf Course and all connected to it for permitting the fundraising initiative to be held there and the course looked absolutely amazing, so well done to all involved” said Mark Hazzard, McAuley Place General Manager.

All funds raised will go towards the McAuley place Beaufort project which is the Beaufort site, directly adjacent to McAuley Place, that McAuley place will provide circa 43 additional units with a vibrant new space for older residents of the wider community.

In delivering this next phase, McAuley Place will ensure to continue to create an inter-generational, stimulating and creative environment at the heart of the town and also to create a quality and affordable place where older people choose and are proud to live.

95% of the project is being funded by the Capital Assistance Scheme (CAS) grant through Kildare Co Council and the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.

The remaining 5% has to be raised by fundraising, and this event is one of many that McAuley Place are hosting to raise these additional funds.
