Kasia Eliasz and her dynamic nine-piece ensemble return to Riverbank, offering an exhilarating and rich musical journey through a variety of Brazilian styles.

Their performance showcases the rhythmic diversity of Brazil, featuring genres such as capoeira, forró, samba, bossa nova, and frevo. These Brazilian rhythms, deeply rooted in African traditions, are celebrated globally for their distinctiveness and vibrancy.
Samba, in particular, stands out as a highlight of Brazilian Carnival, known for its infectious beats and festive atmosphere.
The band masterfully captures the essence of Brazil’s lively music and culture, delivering an unforgettable experience that transports the audience straight to the heart of Brazil’s musical heritage.

The band is made up of vocals: Kasia Eliasz, guitar: Gustavo de Morais, piano: Thomas Maxwell, harp: Sorcha Mac Cague, sax/flute: Yuzuha O’Halloran, cavaquinho: William Kanela, bass: Dave Mooney, percussion: Marcio Tarktarov, drums: Andre Antunes guest artist, and passista: Rose Silva.

This gig takes place at the River bank Arts Centre, Newbridge on Friday, November 8 at 8pm. Tickets range from €15 to €18.
