Republic of Ireland Women’s national team players Stephanie Zambra and Áine O’Gorman recently teamed up with McDonald’s to celebrate a lucky player bagging the top €20k cash prize in this year’s MONOPOLY game at McDonald’s.

Robert from Kildare, (whose full name wasn't revealed) who won the prize in McDonald’s Kilcullen, commented:

“I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw it pop up on my phone that I had won the €20k prize – it was just so surreal! I was with my partner, and we were both in utter disbelief. I’m still in shock!

“I will probably save some of the winnings, pay off a few bills and book a really nice holiday…and buy a McDonald’s!”

So far, 281,352 prizes have been claimed through the MONOPOLY game at McDonald’s, under license from leading toy and game company Hasbro.

Five lucky players also won the €5K cash prize with Chance It Tuesday, the brand-new prize feature in this year’s promotion.
