The results of a toxicology test are due to be produced in an alleged murder case, a garda told Naas District Court last week.
The comments were made by the prosecuting garda on Thursday, October 3 last in the case of Valeriu Melnic, with an address listed as Calliaghstown Lower, Rathcoole, County Dublin, but who is currently remanded in custody.
The 23-year-old, whose address faces an allegation of murdering Ion Daghi, on May 12 at an address in Sallins Park.
On the latest court date, it was heard that a book of evidence was not yet ready in the case.
Defending barrister Mark Gibbons pointed out to Judge Desmond Zaidan that the case has been adjourned 'a number of times previously.'
The garda applied for a two-week adjournment to allow time for the toxicology report, and subsequently the book of evidence, to be produced.
Judge Zaidan granted this adjournment, adding: "Toxicology results can take some time."
The case will resume on October 24, which is when a book of evidence is due to be produced.
