A 21-year-old woman residing in Suncroft has been accused of having two knives on her person, following a search conducted by gardaí.
The accusation made by gardaí relates to Rima Grigorevschi, with an address listed as Waybridge Place in Suncroft, and was heard at Naas District Court on Thursday, September 19 last.
Judge Desmond Zaidan was told by Garda Sergeant David Hanrahan that on September 7 last, Ms Grigorevschi allegedly had two knives on her person while at the Moorefield Park region of Newbridge.
It was heard that gardaí conducted a search on Ms Grigorevschi, which led to the alleged discovery of the knives.
One knife was described by gardaí as being six-inches in length, while the other was described by gardaí as being eight-inches in length.
"Did she explain why she allegedly had them?" Judge Zaidan asked.
"No," Sgt Hanrahan replied.
As directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) were not yet ready in the case, Judge Zaidan adjourned it to March 6, 2025 in prder to allow time for DPP directions.
He remanded the accused on continuing bail until the case resumes.
