Punk band with lead singer from Kildare to take part in concert alongside other musical acts

Prepare to get your block knocked off by some hard-hitting post-punk music from Blokor!

Blokor (which is also stylised as BLØKÖR) is fronted by Naas artist Jo Mac Chéile /McHale, are set to take part in a concert hosted by The Sound House in County Dublin.

According to Jo, the band writes original music 'which is heavily influenced by the post-punk and new wave scenes, with elements of fusion including jazz and metal.'

Other musical acts such as Hill Wood, The Quays, and Melon and the Housemates will also play at the gig.

All ticket sales will go towards the artists.

Speaking to the Leinster Leader ahead of the planned concert, lead singer Jo said: "BLØKÖR is hitting the stage at The Sound House on Wednesday, September 18 for a night of raw, unapologetic post-punk energy.

"This is where you need to be."

"Come lose yourself in the noise with us!" Jo added.

Tickets €5.
