A screwdriver was used to 'pop' open a lock on a door at a property located in Clane.
The comments were made by a garda who appeared on KFM yesterday to discuss the burglary.
Garda Lenny Donnelan explained that the incident took place on Monday, August 27 last, sometime between 6.20pm and 8.40pm at a property in the Liffey Lawns estate.
He added that a screwdriver was by the perpetrator[s] 'to pop [open] the lock' of the door, and that nothing was taken from the property.
Gda Donnelan concluded by urging anyone with any information about the incident to contact Clane Garda Station on 045 868 262.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about the burglary, a garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are aware of burglary that occurred at a house in Clane, County Kildare on August 26, 2024 between 6pm and 8pm.
"No items were taken.
"No arrests have been made."
"Investigations are ongoing," the spokesperson added.
