Castledermot
Kildare County Council has welcomed the news that Castledermot has been granted funding for the preparation of a ‘Town Centre First Plan’ under the Government’s Town Centre First Policy. The Town Centre First Plan will compliment and build on the already published ‘Castledermot Small Town Renewal Masterplan’. As part of this process, the community will be invited to become involved in making their Town Centre First Plan through community workshops and surveys.
Kildare County Council is seeking expressions of interest from people across the Castledermot community to create a dedicated and skillful Town Team, which will help inform the development and execution of the Town Centre First Plan.
Following the selection process, it is hoped that the newly formed Town Team will comprise a variety of skillsets including local residents, business owners, community representatives, and other community stakeholders. The team will be established to help shape the future of Castledermot and ensure it remains a vibrant and thriving town as well as playing a crucial role in driving positive, long-term changes within their community.

Closing date for receipt of applications is 5pm on the August 30, 2024.
