Met Éireann has issued a Status Weather Warning for Kildare and all of Ireland.
The Warning is valid from 10pm on Sunday night until 8am on Monday morning.
Forecasters issued an alert about "a band of heavy rain moving eastwards across the country on Sunday night and Monday morning, with thundery downpours possible."
Met Eireann said potential impacts are:
• Localised flooding
• Difficult travelling conditions
• Poor visibility
The Weather Warning was issued after 2pm on Saturday after studying the latest meteorological information.
