Kildare's Paul Mescal named most attractive Irish celebrity according to new study

A new ranking has revealed the most attractive Irish celebrities, with Paul Mescal crowned top. 

The ranking, conducted by sports betting and casino site Tonybet, used five images of 50 Irish celebrities and ran them through AttractivenessTest.com to see which received the highest score.  

Maynooth Normal People star Paul Mescal was crowned the most attractive Irish celebrity, with an average score of 9.01 out of 10. Born in Maynooth, Mescal is known for his roles in movies including Aftersun and All of Us Strangers and is also set to star in the upcoming historical epic, Gladiator II. 

Charlie Murphy, best known for her role in Happy Valley, placed second with a score of 8.69 out of 10. Born in Enniscorthy, Murphy is known for her role as Ann Gallagher in BBC One’s Happy Valley, and Miss Eden in Peaky Blinders.

Ranking third is Sarah Bolger, known for her roles in movies such as In America and The Spiderwick Chronicles, with a score of 8.65. The Dublin born actress is also well-known for portraying Mary Tudor in the award-winning TV series, The Tudors. 

Becky Lynch is placed fourth with a score of 8.64. Hailing from Limerick, Lynch, whose real name is Rebecca Quin, rose to fame as a professional female wrestler for the WWE.  

Rounding up the top five is singer and songwriter Andrew Hozier-Byrne, known more commonly by his moniker Hozier, with a score of 8.63. Born in Bray, Hozier's hit Take Me to Church was the most streamed song of 2014, achieving 87 million listens.
