New all-weather pitch to be constructed at Kildare GAA club pending approval

A new all-weather pitch will be constructed at a Kildare GAA club pending planning permission.

A planning application has been submitted to Kildare County Council by Naas GAA for a proposed redevelopment at Sallins Road, Oldtown Demesne in Naas.

Naas GAA is one of the largest GAA clubs in Ireland, with over 70 teams competing in football, hurling, camogie and ladies' football.

The club is also seeking permission for the erection of associated fencing and goal backstops.

A decision is expected by the end of September 2024.
