A Newbridge man who is currently in custody has been accused of committing a drug-driving offence.
Judge Desmond Zaidan was informed about the alleged incident when he presided over the case at Naas District Court on Thursday, July 25 last.
The accusation relates to Dylan Lennon, with an address given as 6 Kilbelin Close in Newbridge.
The 28-year-old accused appeared via video-link as he is currently in custody.
Gardaí present in court claimed that on August 5, 2020, Mr Lennon was caught driving a vehicle while under the influence of drugs in Great Southern, Newbridge (the exact alleged drug was not specified in court).
His defending solicitor, Tim Kennelly, noted that the alleged incident allegedly took place in 2020.
