The death has occurred of Derek Alfred Brooks

Rathangan, Kildare / Beechpark Nursing Home, Kildare.

July 23, 2024 (peacefully) surrounded by his friends in the very loving care of the staff at Naas General Hospital.

Predeceased by his parents and siblings.

Deeply regretted and will be very sadly missed by his friends and all at Beechpark Nursing Home.

Derek will repose at McWey’s Funeral home Abbey View, Kildare on Thursday evening (July 25) from 7pm to 8 pm with prayers at 7.30pm.

Cremation will take place on Friday at Newlands Crematorium, Dublin at 12 o'clock.

The death has occurred of Maura Downey (née Prendergast)

Porterstown, Clonsilla, Dublin / Easton Park, Leixlip, Kildare / Clogher, Mayo.

July 22, 2024 (peacefully) surrounded by her family and in the loving care of the staff at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown.

Maura, beloved wife of Noel of 51 years, cherished mother of Dermot, John and Teresa, devoted grandmother to Aimee, Ian, Céala and Claragh and dear sister of Christy, Edwin, Catherine, Ann, John (Junior), Pauric and the late Michael.

Predeceased by her parents John and Mary.

Sadly missed by her loving family, daughter-in-law Kim, John’s partner Karen, Teresa’s partner Ciarán, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. 

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at her residence on Thursday evening from 6pm to 8pm.

Removal to St Mochta’s Church, Porterstown on Friday morning arriving for Requiem Mass at 10am followed by burial in Confey Cemetery, Leixlip.

Suddenly at his residence.

Predeceased by his parents Kevin O’Boyle Snr and Charlotte O’Boyle Amana Estate, Ballina.

Beloved father of Doireann (Leixlip Kildare), Iseult (Leixlip Kildare), Cathal (Celbridge) and Bróna Ní Bhaoill (Celbridge).

Sadly missed by his loving son, daughters, and their mother Paula, brothers Emmet and Kevin, sisters Stephanie and Charlotte, daughter-in-law Susie, son-in-law Phil, grandchildren Shannon, Adam, Stephen, Isabelle and Danann, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours, and friends.

Reposing at McGowan’s Funeral Home, Ballina (F26 V274) on Thursday evening, July 25, from 5pm with removal at 6.30pm to St Muredach’s Cathedral, Ballina.

Requiem Mass on Friday morning at 11am followed by cremation in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold's Cross, Dublin on Saturday at 2.30pm.

Cherrycourt, Summerhill, Meath / Courtown Park, Kilcock, Kildare.

Con, peacefully departed this life in his 89th year at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.

Predeceased by his parents , brother, brothers and sister-in-law.

Beloved husband of Maura, loving father of James and David.

Deeply regretted by his sisters Nora, Moll and Betty, grandchildren Dylan, Rachel, Robert and Jamie, great grandson Tyler, sister-in-law, extended family, neighbours and dear friends.

Reposing at William Ryan & Sons Funeral Home, Church Street, Kilcock, (W23 XC90 - entrance at Books & Gifts), on Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm.

Funeral Mass at 11am on Thursday in the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Dangan, Summerhill followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
