Kildare County Council’s monthly meetings are being streamed live on the council’s YouTube channel.
Notices to this effect have been placed around the council chamber within Aras chill Dara and the councillors are informed about this in advance.
“Both captured audio and video are live streamed” says KCC.
People attending the meeting are being advised that “you may be subject to audio and video image capture and the data may be streamed.”
The council is also reiterating that no camera, communication, screen or sound capturing technology can be used to record any part of the KCC meeting -without prior approval. Anyone who tries will be asked to leave the meeting.
If the meeting is adjourned or suspended by the cathaoirleach “in the interest of order” the live stream will also be terminated.
