Kildare Death Notices for July 6 to July 8, 2024

RIP to the late Carmel O'Shea (née O'Sullivan), Maurice Hartnett and Breda Henry.

The death has occurred of Carmel O'Shea (née O'Sullivan)

The Downs, Pollerton, Carlow / Coolane, Castledermot, Kildare.

Passed away suddenly, in Kilkenny Hospital, on July 6, surrounded by her loving family and partner Eddie.

Carmel is predeceased by her husband Pat, parents Peter and Mary Ellen O'Sullivan.

Much loved mother of Linda, Pauric, Greg and Karen.

Sadly missed by her brothers John, Patrick and Peter, sisters Maura, Noreen and Dolores.

Also missed by daughters-in-law Sylvia and Emer, sons-in-law Fergal and Yasin.

Cherished grandmother of Johnny, Ciara, Megan, Amy, Arda, Mike, Mira, Patrick, Greg, Jack and Mark, great-grandchildren Noah and Ellie, aunts Nora and Bernie, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

May Carmel Rest in Peace.

The death has occurred of Maurice Hartnett

Brownstown Little, The Curragh, Kildare.

July 5, 2024.

Peacefully, in the wonderful care of the nurses & staff of St Brigid’s Hospice, The Curragh.

Predeceased by his parents Maurice & Betty.

Maurice will be sadly missed by his brothers John, Ken, Stephen & sister Anne (Rooney), sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours & friends. 

May Maurice Rest In Peace.

Reposing in Anderson & Leahy’s Funeral Home, Henry Street, Newbridge on Sunday from 4pm with prayers at 7pm.

Removal on Monday morning at 10.15am to arrive at St Brigid’s Church, Suncroft for 11am Mass(Via Ballyfair Farm).

Mass will be broadcast on 108FM and Suncroft Parish Church webcam https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emd7vwtlSjo.

Funeral afterwards to Holy Cross Cemetery, Suncroft.

Donations, if desired, to Motor Neurone Disease Association.

The death has occurred of Breda Henry

Walkin Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny / Russellstown, Athy, Kildare.

Peacefully at Tallaght University Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by loving parents Tom and Kathleen Henry.

Sorely missed by her siblings Eamonn (Castleknock), Des (Dunlavin), Ray (Athy), Maura (Long Island, NY), Carmel and Oliver (both Athy), sisters-in-law Sandra, Colette, Áine and Eileen, brothers-in-law Mike Connolly and Chris Delahunt, her 19 loving nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. 

May Breda Rest in Peace.

The death has occurred of William (Billy) White

Newbridge, Kildare (Eircode W12 X678).

Billy, who died on July 2 2024, at St James' Hospital, Dublin.

Predeceased by his loving wife Geraldine (née O'Connor).

Deeply regretted by his loving Daughter Lorraine, partner Mary, Son Andrew, brothers Martin, Seán, Noely and Micháel, sisters June, Bernadette and Bridgie, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours, work colleagues, relatives and a large circle of friends.

May Billy Rest In Peace.

Reposing at his residence on Wednesday 10th from 3pm to 8pm with prayers at 7.30pm.

Removal from there on Thursday morning at 10.30am to Cill Mhuire Church, arriving for 11am funeral Mass, which can be viewed on www.newbridgeparish.ie/cillmhuire-church.

Funeral afterwards to the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, for service at 1.45pm which maybe viewed on https://www.mountjerome.ie/victorian-chapel-service/
