Census information should be made available to community groups

Latest census results reveals 20% decrease in number of Travellers living in Leitrim

Information gathered during the most recent census should be made available to community groups.

Cllr Aidan Farrelly asked that Kildare County Council, in partnership with All-Island Research Observatory (AIRO), host a series of workshops in Kildare ”to communicate the data from the 2020 census with community groups, community services and other key stakeholders to support them in their work.”

KCC said briefing sessions will be organised when AIRO has finalised work on census profiles as part of developing a local economic and community plan for KCC.
