Counting is currently underway for the local elections in Clane, with four candidates seeing a strong turnout so far.
Killian Brennan (Sinn Féin), Daragh Fitzpatrick (Fianna Fáil), Pádraig McEvoy (Independent) and Brendan Wyse (Fine Gael) look to be currently leading the first count for Clane.
Fitzpatrick, McEvoy and Wyse are all running for re-election, having secured councillor seats in the 2019 elections.
Clane will elect 5 councillors, being one of the biggest local elections in Kildare.
