Two juveniles have been arrested by gardaí in connection to a number of criminal incidents reported from North Kildare.
Commenting on the situation, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: "Gardaí attached to Leixlip, assisted by garda members attached to Kildare and Dublin Metropolian Region, carried out a number of searches on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
"During the course of the search two males juveniles, both aged in their teens, were arrested in relation to the further investigation of a number of thefts from vehicles, unauthorised taking of vehicles and deception offences that occurred in recent weeks in the Maynooth and Celbridge areas of Kildare."
The spokesperson continued: "Both juveniles were detained at garda stations within the Kildare Division under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
"The two juveniles were later charged with a total of 19 charges and appeared before the Children's Court on Thursday morning June 6, 2024."
"Investigations ongoing," the spokesperson concluded.
