A planning application currently with Kildare County Council shows that one Peter Duffy intends to construct the dwellings on the Sallins Road.

According to the description of the application, Mr Duffy is seeking planning permission for the demolition of existing dwelling and outbuildings, which would then lead into the construction of 20 dwellings.

These dwellings will consist of:

  • One two-storey terrace block containing six three-bed houses, including bin and bike stores to mid terrace units
  • One two-storey terrace block containing three three-bed houses and two one-bed maisonettes, including bin and bike stores to mid-terrace units, and;
  • One part-single and part-two storey terrace block containing two single-storey one-bed maisonettes and seven two-storey two-bed houses, including bin and bike stores to mid-terrace units.

Mr Duffy is also seeking permission for: the upgrade of the existing vehicular entrance and the construction of a new recessed access road off the R407; a connection to foul water sewer; and permission for all associated ancillary site-works.

The description notes that the development is within the curtilage of a Protected Structure (B14-66).

The date received is listed as May 29 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as July 2 and July 23 respectively.
