Tributes have poured in for a beloved paramedic following his tragic death yesterday.
Ross Murphy was a life saving emergency services officer with the National Ambulance Service (NAS), having previously worked for Lifeline Ambulance. He was from Maynooth.
In a touching post on Facebook, Ross' coworkers at NAS Dublin South Central Ambulance Station said that he was "the epitome of everything we aim to be".
"It is with the deepest ever regret that our colleague and friend ross passed away today. Our station and service will never be the same without you my friend.
"You were our future. We will miss you forever".
Many of Ross' friends and coworkers flooded the comments of the post with sympathy and memories of the paramedic. Many remembered him as an "absolute gentleman", with many agreeing that Ross was "always a pleasure to deal with and always had a smile for everyone".
Coworker Hannah Skinner said of Ross: "Always smiling, never a bad word. Ross you were incredible to work with. Rest in Peace".
Another NAS employee Julien Devergie added: "You were the epitome of a gentleman and a scholar, Rest in Peace Ross."
Funeral arrangements for the late paramedic are yet to be announced.
