Suspected €4,500 worth of cocaine found in Newbridge, County Kildare, property

Suspected cocaine estimated to be worth around €4,500 was discovered at a property in Newbridge.

Judge Desmond Zaidan was informed about the alleged discovery made by gardaí at the property of Brandon Byrne, with an address listed as 864 Piercetown in Newbridge.

Gardaí present at Naas District Court on Thursday, April 4 last claimed that the 22-year-old had the suspected cocaine for the alleged purpose of sale or supply at his home on July 29 last.

The judge adjourned the case to July 18, in order to allow time for directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.

He remanded Mr Byrne on continuing bail until the case resumes.
