A fire incident which occurred near the town of Athy led to a garda investigation.
When asked by the Leinster Leader for comment, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána had this to say: "Gardaí in Athy have commenced an investigation into a fire incident at a residential property on Saturday, March 30, 2024.
"The incident was reported shortly after 5am when a fire erupted at a residence in Kilberry, near Athy."
The spokesperson continued: "Both fire services and gardaí responded to the scene.
"There were no reported injuries."
The spokesperson concluded."The area was examined, and inquiries into the incident are currently underway."
