Kildare County Council releases update on final phase of Kilcullen Road Active Travel Scheme works

Kildare County Council has release an update regarding the final phase of Kilcullen Road Active Travel Scheme works.

The council said in a statement: "John Cradock Ltd have been carrying out major upgrade works to the Kilcullen Road on behalf of Kildare County Council as part of the Kilcullen Road Active Travel Scheme.

"The final phase (Phase 3) of the works is currently being progressed.

"In order to minimise disruption to daytime road traffic at the Ballymore Road junction; it is proposed to complete some works at night commencing on Tuesday, April 2, 2024."

Kildare County Council continued: "The works consist of road surfacing in the area of the Ballymore Road junction and along Fairgreen Street, and will take place between the hours of 7pm to 6am. 

"It is expected that these works will take place from April 2 to 5, 2024 and April 8 to 12, 2024.

"The traffic management plan for these night works is available to view on Kildare County Council’s website at: https://kildarecoco.ie/AllServices/Roads/RoadSafetyCyclingandSustainableTransport/SustainableTransport/SustainableInfrastructureProjects/KilcullenRoadActiveTravelScheme/"

"Kildare County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by these works," the council concluded.
