Irish Dogs for the Disabled issue appeal for puppy raisers

Irish Dogs for the Disabled is looking for puppy and dog raisers.

Founded in 2007, the charity aims to improve the lives of children and adults living with physical disabilities in Ireland.

Each year, they deliver approximately 28 fully trained assistance and therapy-dogs each to their disabled partners.

The dogs that do not progress or qualify through their training programme as fully-qualified Assistance Dogs, go on to career as a therapy-dog.

In an appeal shared on social media, Irish Dogs for the Disabled said: "We are looking for loving families to look after our pups and dogs at various stages of training and puppy development.

"If you’ve got time and space in your home and heart for one of our special dogs. Please call 0214316627 or elizabeth@dogsfordisabled.ie".
