Gardaí investigating burglary offence committed in County Kildare church

An Garda Síochána (AGS) is investigating a burglary offence which was committed in a South Kildare church.

The incident was detailed to KFM Radio host Eoin Beatty by a member of AGS who appeared on the radio station yesterday.

Garda John-Joe O'Connell told Mr Beatty that the incident took place at St Joseph's Church in Gormanstown, sometime between the night of Sunday, March 24 last and the morning of Monday, March 25 last.

A donation box stolen was stolen as a result of the burglary.

Mr Beatty also said on the programme that this has been the third theft offence committed at St Joseph's Church since Christmas time.

Gda O'Connell concluded by saying that anyone with information can contact Kilcullen Garda Station on 045 481 212.
