An extra bus shelter is being sought for the Dublin Road in Monasterevin by a Social Democrats councillor.

The call was made by Cllr Chris Pender at the latest Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District, which was held on Wednesday, March 20 last.

He specifically asked for KCC 'to add stop number 152361 on Dublin Street, Monasterevin on the southbound direction towards Portlaoise, as an area for consideration for a bus shelter.'

This motion was seconded by Fianna Fáil Cllr Rob Power.

KCC replied to Cllr Pender’s motion via its report at the meeting: "This location can be considered for inclusion under future upcoming bus shelter works programmes."
