A 19-year-old man accused of damaging property in County Kildare with a stolen vehicle has had his case sent forward for trial.

Tadhg Keely, with an address listed as 23 Harelawn Avenue, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, County Dublin, appeared before Naas District Court on Thursday, March 21 last.

Gardaí alleged to Judge Desmond Zaidan that Mr Keely was the driver of a stolen vehicle spotted on May 1 last.

Fifteen days later (May 15 last), the accused was allegedly seen driving the vehicle in Tuckmilltown near Kill, and allegedly caused criminal damage to a set of gates with the vehicle.

Once a book of evidence was served on the defendant by gardaí, Judge Desmond Zaidan sent the case involving Mr Keely forward to the next sittings of Naas Circuit Court, which will commence on April 9.

He also remanded the accused on continuing bail until the case resumes.
